My name is Tim Marchman, and I write or have written about baseball, fighting, music, books and politics for, among other places, the Wall Street Journal, Sports Illustrated, Slate, The New Republic, The Weekly Standard, New York Press, the Chicago Reader, the Columbia Journalism Review and the New York Sun, where I was the baseball correspondent from 2002 to 2008. This is good work involving observing, researching and talking to people about interesting goings on. I will be a Knight-Wallace fellow in journalism in 2011-12 at the University of Michigan, and while I will temporarily be in Ann Arbor, I live in Hyde Park, Chicago, the best neighborhood in the best city in the States.
